Our College flagship Work Experience Program is supported by two full-time Industry Liaison Officers (ILO). Our ILO’s provide support and career advice for students, staff, parents and host employers in order to maximise industry work experience placements.
Career Development
The Industry Liaison Officers support every students industry work experience placement from start to finish including communication with students, parents and host employers.
The ILOs complete all work experience agreements, undertake site visits, provide formal feedback to students and parents at the end of each placement.
They also navigate conversations with host employers that can convert work experience to a possible school-based apprenticeship or traineeship.
Our Industry Liaison Officers also hold a minimum qualification of a Certificate IV in Career Development. This qualification allows our ILO’s to provide career counselling to ensure our students are nailing the connection with every opportunity.
