Highly regarded as the ‘Trade School of Excellence’ on Brisbane’s northside, the Australian Trade College North Brisbane or ATCNB, has a unique approach that sets us apart from other schools – we integrate Queensland’s Certificate of Education, the QCE curriculum, with trade training and apprenticeship services. We offer all this on the one campus at Scarborough, giving our students the ultimate launching pad for their careers.
We are a purpose built, multi-million dollar, trade training, co-educational Year 11 and Year 12 independent school. We pride ourselves on the ability to provide a structured and well-supported trade and business focused curriculum, leading to strong QCE attainment and employment pathways. This is based on the philosophy that students can reach their potential through many and varied pathways. There is not just one way to reach your career goal.
Every opportunity – that will ‘Nail the Connection’.
The College has a great leadership team. Students are offered a great opportunity in hands on learning blended with the traditional schooling for students to learn a trade and gain a Queensland Certificate of Education.
The school has helped our son to kick off a career as an Electrician assisting him in securing a full time apprenticeship.
I absolutely recommend the Australian Trade College North Brisbane for senior secondary students to transition into the work place.
The ATCNB go the extra mile to ensure that when you walk out of there at the end of it all, you are 110% sorted and ready to go...For anyone looking for a TAFE to assist them in their obtainment of their CERT III after relocating to Australia, I wouldn't and couldn't recommend anyone else.
5 stars doesn't even do them justice; from an excellent and well equipped training facility to trainers (Josh, Paul) who are knowledgeable through real world experiences, and an admin team (Elise) who is always willing to assist and go the extra mile.
These guys are 1,000km away from me, and they made it feel like they were just down the road.
The online distance learning system is easy to use and allows you to smash out the theory at your own pace whist logging your work hours.
My son Thayan, started in the 2020 Cadet program. Sending Thayan to Trade College is the best thing we have ever done for him with regard to his education.
We attended a couple of the Information Evenings prior to applying. Your comment about "waking up with purpose" is so accurate. Thayan now enjoys going to school, he enjoys the teaching style and the relationships with his teachers. He is a quiet person by nature, and to hear in an email from his Maths teacher and his Plumbing Trainer that he is working hard and asks questions to make sure he is on the right track, speaks volumes about how comfortable he feels in class.
He recently completed his one week work experience shadowing electricians and now has a clear path as to what he wants to do.
So once again thank you for running an amazing place, Trade College has been a game changer for our family.
Ethan secured an Apprenticeship with Sharpe Engineering located in Zillmere as an Apprentice Boilermaker. Ethan is super happy, super excited and super keen to make the most of this amazing opportunity. You can't wipe the smile off his face.
ATCNB and ATTC certainly set Ethan up for success. If it wasn't for him attending the College and being exposed to all of the opportunities that he was whilst there, his current situation would definitely be very different to what it is.
We are forever grateful. Thank you for helping set him up for success.
